Why Diesel Doctors
Some outfits only run road calls. Some only work in a bay. We do both, so a fix on the shoulder can turn into a proper repair in our shop without starting over with somebody new.
Once it's diagnosed, you get the cost before the work starts. Written estimate, or a phone call if that's easier.
Brake adjustments, electrical, batteries and plenty of tire work get done on site. Bigger jobs come to the bays, and we'll tell you which on the call.
Bridgestone, Michelin and Yokohama in stock for steer, drive and trailer positions. We carry Firestone, Bandag and Dayton too.
Comchek, EFS, T-Chek, TCH and Fleet One checks, AMBEST Direct Billing, every major card and cash.
A Certified AMBEST Service Center with ASE-certified technicians and OEM parts on every make.
A Rotary R5000HD heavy-duty aligner lives on Hovis Rd. Bring us the truck that pulls.

Heavy-duty alignment
A truck that pulls eats steer tires and wears out the driver. We do alignments in our own bay on a Rotary R5000HD, an electronic aligner built for trucks and buses at 19,500 lb GVWR and up.
It grips the wheel at the bolt circle, where a bent rim can't throw off the reading, and it measures axle offset on every truck. Pair an alignment with a new set of steers and the rubber starts out square.
Inside the shop
When the part you need is already on our shelf, you're not parked waiting on a delivery. This is what it looks like inside on Hovis Rd.

Charlotte, North Carolina
Charlotte has been a freight town for a long time. I-85 and I-77 cross here, and trucks from all over the East Coast roll through on the way to somewhere else.
Our shop sits on Hovis Rd, down the street from the CSX intermodal terminal where containers come off the train and onto chassis. Pulling a box out of that yard and something doesn't sound right? We're close.
The story goes that a British general called Charlotte a hornet's nest of rebellion back in 1780. Folks here took it as a compliment and kept it. We fix trucks with the same stubborn streak, and the flag on our road truck is there on purpose.

Where we roll
Road service covers the metro and the towns around it, from Statesville and Salisbury down to Rock Hill and Monroe.
Pick a town or a corridor sign to light the drive from the shop.
Driving miles and car drive times from the shop with no traffic. A service truck usually takes longer, so call for an arrival time.

Pick a corridor or a town
The signs group towns by direction from the shop. A few, like Denver and Waxhaw, get there on other roads, and the map draws each real route.
Just off I-85 at Exit 36 (NC 16, Brookshire Blvd), close to I-77 and the northwest stretch of I-485.
Fleet managers
We do A, B and C level PMs, or we follow your company's own PM form. The mobile crew can work at your yard during fleet downtime, weekends included, helping keep your trucks rolling.
